minor update last week, and we were reminded why we've always liked this app so much: It starts up so dang quickly, in under a second in most environments (and under a half-second if you use the Quick Start option). So how does EmEditor do it? It's very compact, of course (at just 527K for the primary executable), but it manages that feat by not trying to please everyone: EmEditor uses a customizable, extensible plug-in system that ensures you're never waiting for features to load that you're never going to use. Throw in the ability to use complex macros, and EmEditor should please even the most finicky developer.
