Firefox 3 ... then what

Firefox 3 ... then what?

If you downloaded the new Mozilla Firefox 3 browser last week, you weren't alone. Initial reports indicate that Firefox picked up 4 percent of the browser market share in its first 24 hours. For comparison, Safari has about 6 percent total and Opera has slightly less than 1 percent.

Once you've taken the plunge and updated (or switched) to Firefox 3, you'll want to make sure it's tricked out with all the best extensions. Seth Rosenblatt explains why each of the 12 Firefox 3 add-ons in his collection are "must-haves." If you've got a favorite Firefox 2 extension that isn't compatible with v3, Power Downloader has some advice that could help.

Tom Merritt explains how to turn it off if you hate it, and Josh Lowensohn serves up three useful Firefox 3 address-bar "hacks." Josh also has some expert advice for managing bookmarks with the new browser, and Seth finishes us off with four detailed FAQs about Firefox 3.
